June 2nd Dear folks- Well we had our trip to Norfolk and such a trip! I am going to tell you all about it becuase it was such fun but you will probably think we were crazy. Went over 200 mi. We left here at 9 a.m. - 11 of us in two autos - The first part of the ride was wonderful. The roads excellent and the country beautiful. About 11 oclock three of the nurses became quite sick with ptomaine poisoning and after that the stops were frequent so that with the bad roads we finally reached Norfolk at 3:30 instead of at 1. We took the ferry over to Newport News where we had something to eat and the autos looked over by which time it was 5 o'clock so we took another ferry across Hampton Roads to
