you all. This weather is rather miserable raining + fog, expect you are getting the same kind. [Of?] it comes off nice now it should aid picking corn with mechanical pickers as they dont work so well when the stalks are too dry. Have been listening to the news this noon they say there is to be a shortage of Christmas trees this year due to the [lakes?] and transportations problems. They were always a mess in the [leaves?] any way. We work a little, play some ball, play cards, read & sleep its a regular vacation but its getting monotonous now. However Im not [kicking' its Iowa. I had though perhaps Ralph might come out but havent seen
