April 10, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad & Mom: Just time for a note before I go to the basket ball game, our squadron plays for the championship tonight and I want to see it. So dont be disgusted with me if I dont write much. My mail caught up to me today got four letters from you, one addressed to Pocatello it certainly made good time was mailed April 8, 10 AM and I got it at todays noon mail call so we have two service hear instead of 3 or 4. Had a nice long letter from Bob & one from Mrs. Finch. I will write to Milan as soon as I can Ill bet the kid is homesick. We are north & west of town about eight miles, buses run in every half hour so we can get to town often. Today has been very raw and cold but seemed a good bit warmer tonight
