it and tried to pull his ship off the ground before he had attained flying speed. His props hit our tail section and his landing gear crumpled our wing. No one was hurt in our plane and it can be fixed without too much trouble. The other ship the props being damaged went wobbling across the area between the runway and ramp just off the ground, cleared one of our ships, just ticked the prop on another, sliced a wing off a smaller ship, topped over a huge gasoline tank trailer, cut a hole in another and thousands of gallons of gasoline ran out on the ramp. It then nosed into the ground and rolled end over end. It isnt a very pleasant sight nor thought but could have been so much worse. Something kept that gasoline, more volatile than powder, from exploding if it had, the whole field might easily have gone up in smoke. It is miraculous there was no fire is all I can say. I am not flying so dont worry about me. Glad you had a nice visit with your neighbors, that is a sure sign of spring when those back yard chats start again. Im very glad you had Pete & Leta at our house they are both nice kids was always found of Pete at school. Hope Tom enjoys his furlough. Im going to put in for mine very soon but might be awhile before I can get it. Will close for tonight. Love Johnny
