I am now officially crew chief again and as yet have no assistant so I had all the sweating to do yesterday and today. We are transferring three of our planes to another squadron in our group. They are all pretty good ones and in return are getting two old clunkers are not even in flying status. They are training in the third plane and do cross country laps so wasnt the best ships. I dont lose mine but that is the only good one we have left. Will have to go ahead and fix the old ones up and get along as best we can. Im glad you had a nice birthday, isnt there anything you can think of to buy of just isnt there anything to buy. So Charla [Whina?] doesnt think much of your drawing. Guess thats where I got my drawing ability from. Grandma wants to send [me?] a quarter which she says is an unusual one, a 1915 vintage. I told her I'd like to have it for a lucky piece. I still carry a silver dollar I got when I went out west in my old model A with Brad, John C. & Silys Styer. So Buck is to have a furlough he is lucky in getting one so soon. If he is to be a welder it may be a good trade for him someday. Be sure and say hello to him for me. Love Johnny
