last so long used every day. So the preacher is working us as a hired man, that is fine I expect it helps Ray out a lot. Cant see why it doesnt warm up back there, here it is the first of may and no spring weather yet. Brad Jackson went to Miami for his o.e.i. training he spent several months at Tampa last summer and didnt like it at all. Said it was stifling hot in Florida in the summer. I suppose I should have tried for officers training, it would look as tho I was trying to make something of myself. Most all the other guys from home have, except Bob Ward and Rabbit Malf. I dont think I should like it tho and when I see some of the guys they turn out I sometimes wonder. Dont think an iron would do me any good, Id ruin anything I tried to press. I guess I should have learned back the same time I should have learned to play the piano. Hope your cold gets better quick. I know how miserable that combination must be. Take good care of both of your folks. Grandmother's letters aren't too cheerful usually kind of blue Im afraid, wish she might be a little better satisfied with things and not so discouraged. Love Johnny
