that it will be 4-6 months though. We will probably not move any troops for 2 mo yet unless it looks as though they would not be needed. I have kept the papers printed here the day piece was declared and will bring these with me when I come back. I want to get up to the old front and see what the thing looks like. I will have to be here 4 mo before I get 7 days leave. I consider that I was very fortunate to get over where I did although I would have liked very much to have been up at the front. It was surely a hot place from the descriptions of it and the shape the boys were in when we first saw them. All covered with mud and cold and tired. It is anything but pleasant I know. and the glamour wears off very quickly. I am still over at the Red Cross hospital and dont know how soon I will be ordered back to 85. I don't believe I will get any promotion here as you have seen how the thing works out. However it has been worthwhile anyway. Well dear I must close and send out the [Cellers] for the men.
