One can be pleased with seeing the things one dreamed about but I only find contentment when in your arms where I hope to be and where I will be as soon as I get through with this business. I do not think it will be more than 4 mo and then can get free from the army altogether and we will get acquainted again or renew [our?] [old?]. Well hope you will get this letter all right and that my description will not weary you These flowers I picked in a courtyard of an excavated garden of Pompeii Helen this is your spot to be remembered.
