it is though that corn can't be bought for less than $1.00 per bushel this fall hear but we hope that it will not be so scarce as people think it will old corn has raised to 75 cents per bushel now and wheat and flower has raised flower has raised 50 cents on the hundred and wheat in porportion I do not know what bacon is selling for now for I have not bought any and have not inquired anything as to the market Black berrys is worth from 15 to 30 cents per gallon and butter worth 25 to 50 cents per lbs and chickens is worth $2.50 per dozzen and other things in porportion and as to fruit in this country there is not enough here to say that there is any there is now and then a few apples but no peaches heare and the worst of all there is no peach trees nor never will be any here, I wish I could tell all about every thing here but I have not space enough to write on at this time and I might wearing your patience to read my scribble but if you want me to write all about every thing in this country you must write often to me and I have never failed to answer your letter yet
