We waited quite a while for the rebels, but we soon learned that they had only made a feint at this place, and passed towards Saulsburg. We returned towards evening to our camp. Friday 4 News arrived here this morning that the rebels were destroying the road at Saulsburg and had burned the town, that fighting was going on at this place. We were ordered to get ready instantly to move towards the scene of the conflict, in a very few minutes we were on board the cars enroute for Saulsburg, took the left wing of our regiment
