Got my G.I. drivers license yesterday and have been wheeling a 2 1/2 ton tandem wheel G.M.C. back and forth between the Gulch and the main base hauling mechanics whenever I come in to eat. I expect it will be a nuisance because there are lots of errands to be run but it seems good to drive even a truck. Some Sunday Im going to take a pass and go horseback riding boy Ill probably be stiff as its been a year since Ive indulged in any of that sport. Yesterday we were supposed to have an inspection by a General after cleaning up and picking up he didn't show up but it isn't safe to take a chance of not being spic and span. That's about the steenth time that has happened Today we got two fuel pumps for our plane but they arent quite the same as the others and we are having a time making them fit. Im going out on the line again after a little and see how the boys are getting along. Sorry I cant think of more to write but Im out of anything to say. Love Johnny
