get up for dinner or supper, missed three meals today but perhaps Ill go to the P.X after a bit and get a malted milk that is if they still have ice cream, they usually dont. Tomorrow we go on field stations, it doesnt mean much, a meatless day or two a week, limited sugar and butter , no pie or dessert except Sundays. We had field stations at Windaner and couldn't see much difference in the [illegible]. Army [illegible] doesnt taste so good at best so a little one way or the other is scarcely noticeable. Havent been to the show since Ive been over here on the main base, they make you wear O.D's and it's scarcely worth the trouble to come off the line and change. We are l long way from the P.X + movie good exercise walking down there. There are two or three big crap games going in the barracks. The first week after pay day there are a lot of them but this soon dwindles out when the money is lost. Some of the guys make small fortunes but 99% of them lose their shirts. I guess they get a big kick out of it tho so if they have fun enough
