have been cut down thats all.

    Before so awfully long some of the fellows will be sent to Chanute Field Illinois for some special schooling, I dont know just what it will be nor who will go, but you bet if I get a chance I'll go. There will only be a few so the chances of me getting to go will be slim.
    The planes are grounded tonight because of the rain and wind but it seems to be clearing now so I expect they will fly before long. 
    Got the papers today and a letter from you yesterday. Glad the bonds Im buying are coming thru. I was kind of wondering about them. Gosh how old man winter is hanging on back there it must have been a tougher winter than 1936 when I was driving back and forth to Fayette.
    A fellow from this outfit went on furlough to Akron Ohio, now all they give is seven days and he only had 36 hours at home. I was in on the last bunch of ten day furloughs so for once I was lucky.
