March, 8, 1943 Tucson, Arizona Dear Dad & Mom: Got your stationary today, a card from [Clem?] Meyers; letter from Aunt Cara thanks a lot for the paper it is very handy to carry in case Im working over on the line and have time to write (which I wont probably). Yesterday I had a hundred [hour?] [illegible] action and was busy all day. Feel pretty good tho for the [illegible] inspection raid it was one of the best inspections he had ever checked. Maybe it will help get ahead if I have a few like that. While this is Navy stationary I find it writes okay for an air corps man. I'll bet thats all they have for a buddie of mine recently got a kit like it from home and it was Nave too. Went up for a flight day before yesterday (in my plane of course) if I rode in another I would really get a razing from the fellows. It was a gunnery and bombing mission, quite interesting to see the bombs (practice ones, only four pounds of black powder & 96 pounds of sand) drop from way up in the air and hit the target or very near
