rice and salad. It's funny I didnt know there was any shortage of bread but we only get one slice for meal. Get all we need to eat tho. Im sorry to hear Mr. Blunt is ill hope he makes it okay. He is one of my oldest friends I expect and I've often heard from him about my first car ride. Another thing he used to tell me is that I was named after him and I would always say I was named after my grandparents he had lots of fun kidding me when I was small. Got a brand new pair of shoes yesterday salvaged my old ones and I have another pair about ready to go. So far Ive been lucky and havent had to pay for any of them but some of the guys let theirs go too long and had to sign a statement of charges. Missed the Sunday night programs tonight and havent seen the funnies. One day is almost the same as the next in the army especially on line maintenance work as the planes fly Sundays, holidays or come what may. Must close for tonight Love Johnny
