March 28, 1942 Tucson, Arizona Dear Dad + Mom: Summer is beginning down here I guess for today it has really been hot. A fellow could scarcely stand it on the wings of the plane. I sweat like a good fellow and didn't work much either. I finished a hundred hour inspection this afternoon. This includes changing the...plugs,112 of them and that's quite a job in itself. Quite a bit different than in a car [ ] it. Each engine has two plugs for every cylinder which fire from separate magnetos so the ignition is almost [ ]. Say wasn't Mrs. Burnham lucky to get all that Westwood [ ] glassware. on the milk glass but guess it's pretty.[ ] Wish someone would leave you a slug of it. I think you might as well sell my double harness if you have a chance, it soon goes to pot if it just hangs around.I gave $15 for it and if you can get that or $20 for it let it go. Am glad still has fertilizer for the [ ]
