hear from her.
I have been pretty busy this past week engine changes [?] etc so I havent written so regularly but will try + do better. Several nights I've worked quite late and as lights go out at 9 P.M. it doesn't leave much writing time. [Illegible] your [illegible] was quite good and surely original [?] Jimmie was [?]. 
Haven't heard anything about my furlough but feel confident it will come thru okay. there is a change after the first of June. [Illegible] may be [?] week and travelling times. Boy would I like a week at home. Will probably come to Cedar Rapids this time. Believe that will be the last connection, wonder what time in the morning the [?] leaves there. I will leave here at around 5 P.M. and get to Omaha about 8 P.M. the next day. [?] [suffuse?] it will take too long from there to E.P. won't be as long a ride as from Tucson. I'm going to stay for tonight will write tomorrow
