I take our calves do well they are certainly a good price now and I guess we need to produce a lot of beef. We dont get it very often but I guess we are lots better off than you folks are what with ration books and the like. Our squadron is to march down town Memorial day but dont think I will have to. Some one will have to watch the planes as I expect they will fly all day, we dont quit for holidays any more than Sundays but if it will get it over any sooner I dont mind. It surely isnt much to do when you think of what some of the guys are doing. Got some salvage back today and some of the stuff I signed statement of changes for couldnt get my shoes which irked me as I really need them. Only way I can get them is to have some officer buy them for me from quarter master our squadron cant get them for enlisted men. Its been very warm here again today the [nasturtiums?] grew a lot new ones broke [thru?]. They have dug up and transplanted into our area native cedars from the mountains near here. They really look nice but I doubt if they will grow as they shook all the dirt from around the roots and didnt pack the new dirt in around the roots much also dont think the soil is the same type. This is all for tonight Love Johnny
