May 30, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad and Mom: Just got in from finishing up a hundred hour inspection and I'm kind of tired. It came out pretty good only a few little things written up. They really roll around regular as much as we've been flying lately. Got a letter from you this noon which left West Union at 6:30 P.M. May 28. That is pretty good service isn't it? I feel okay again it was just a cold like you are coming down with the flu, weak and feverish, going to bed when I did beat it out. It's nice Vivian can come out and see Bub. Just wrote him a letter day before yesterday hope they have a good visit. Poor Mr. Whitney he is having a bad time of it, from the letter he sent me he seemed to think he was getting along very well and all he needed was a good rest. [illegible] how Mr. Reagin has had his bad spills and then gets feeling pretty good again. The fellow from Presho I was telling you about says Dr. Newman saved his life once when he was just a tiny little fellow. You can tell Mrs. Heiserman that, from what he says he
