June 6, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad + Mom: Today I got three letters from you and two cards from the church. From John Durschers + Ishmans, yesterday two from Mary Montgomery and Mrs. Williamson. It has just showered and the sun has come out bright and we have a gorgeous rainbow, six distinct colors and clear across the sky. Im tired tonight but still I didnt work very hard today. Ship didnt fly much as there wasnt a crew for it, my crew is working on another ships inspection. Now that we are cut down in size of crews we have to help each other. Boy it is still much too cold here for summer uniforms which we are supposed to change into by the 10th of June. I think that O.D.'s would be comfortable evenings the year round. Glad you got to meet Brads wife and that you were favorably impressed with her everyone who has met her seemed to like her very much. Ill bet Mrs. Finch is proud of her and tells everyone. Seems as tho it must rain regularly everyday back home. If it can just stay hot tho
