June 13, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad + Mom, Got a letter from Bob, one from you and the Argo today. Pretty good hand. Bob thinks I have been home on furlough because I wrote him a couple of weeks ago I was going. Rained most of the day and hard wind blew and we had to moor down the planes and put covers on the windows. Expect to have the ship I have now taken to the depot for overhaul it is getting a lot of hours on it but flys very well and is in good mechanical shape. makes quite a bit of work, checking over the accessories and forms etc getting them ready to go. Bob said Dickey has his calf
