I should mark my clothes today if I get time every piece of clothing we own should be marked and I have never done mine. As long as its raining and for the time being I have no plane would be good time to do it. Got a letter from Plegg yesterday he says he's been very busy and is trying to get his tile in plant corn + beans, hay etc between showers. Also said he has gas and if I get as close to Des Moines and dont have a way home he would come and get me and one thing about Old Plegg he really meant it, wasnt just idle talk. The poor Hays must be having a siege of it, seems like small pox would be enough without mumps. With Guy and Bessie looking after Bill he should get along okay and not catch anything. Hope the Phudes have a nice vacation trip, have they gas ration coupons enough saved up to drive. or are they only going as far as Davenport. Should go back out on the line now so will quit, may try + write a little more tonight. Love Johnny
