first day of summer. Hasn't rained for two days. have to go to the infirmary tomorrow morning and get a chest x-ray this is a yearly event along with the shots. have a big meeting in the hangar too during which the C.O. will congratulate the Sqdn on having won the flag. Glad your heafers are smoothing up on grass, there is nothing like green grass to slick and smooth up a bunch of cattle. have you seen or heard Bill say how our are doing? Expect the pastures are good tho with all the rain you've been getting. Hope you do get to go to Grandma's if you like and that she can come back with you. Takes longer than it use to, to drive out there now doesnt it with the speed limit. While Davis is the least hurt in the Fayette fire I'll bet he cries the loudest and lustiest. That town has the poorest fire department of any town I the country its too bad it had to happen. Poor Dorothy is having a tough time of it hope she can come back with her mother. I feel sorry for Donald seems he always has a lot of doctor bills ets. but of course that is a small thing if D gets along well. Got a letter from Milas today he is about to finish up his rookie training. He
