Glad we got rain if we needed it, had begun to think from the [illegible] youd had it would never dry out. Cant imagine where I got a subscription to the [Union?] either have a second hand one will do just as well and get here are soon. Poor [illegible] had must have got a good soaking hope it wasnt where the new grass needed the moisture. Gosh as pretty as [illegible] Bills is I might have thought Ernie would have had a masterpiece. I think it is well that Pap sold Bing, while the price isnt high he was more or less a problem child and having run wild for a year wont have helped him any. He would eat as much or more than a cow in the pasture and I can use the $$50 to help with the electric wiring. So Ole Johnston and Pap are hitting if off okay again Im glad of that. Now they are both formers they should have a lot in common.
