Glad you, grandma + Gracie had such a good outing and things looked favorable I really think Bill is a good farmer and perhaps Mrs Hay tries but I do wish she might be a little neater. Cant imagine just how the new porch looks but that place did need something. You and Guy Goodspeed will soon be quite cronies and he'll cal you Ona. I can truthfully say both Guy + Bessie have treated me very well and tho he is very windy so far hasnt been a bad neighbor. The Kohls must be working very hard, day and night nearly. Haying must be a big job no more half than is available. I would like to have seen Mr. Christianson he is a nice fellow and a bigger Ford boaster than I am. Could have told him about the B-24's Henry is building. The [Rhudis?] just about feed you folks out of their garden, that makes the paints last better [doesnt?] it? I noticed in the Union that [Clell?}Whitcher had bought Chandlers end of the warehouse. What about G + S, didnt they want it? Expect Ill have to find a place for my road cart and cutter. Am going out for supper tonight with another married friend, this one hales from Montana. Love Johnny
