Aug. 15, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad, Mom & Grandman: Thought I'd try some of my new stationary tonight, writes good but [illegible] is short as usual. quite cool here tonight, stormed a little this afternoon after being very hot all morning. Our planes were grounded for for several hours due to weather. Just sent the cards I got at church last week, today. expect the folks will much care when they get them anyhow. Want to write Mr. Dibble tonight and send him Fergies pastry. Washed out a pair of dirty coveralls and a cap I left here when I came home. Don't know as they are just spatters but are surely better than when I began. Our soft ball team won again last night making an undefeated season and them champions of the local league. Glad I got to see them play their last game. I'm listening to Spitalnys all girl orchestra, I enjoy them very much. We have a radio in our barracks again, don't know whose it is but it plays all the time. My ship goes on an [illegible] mission tonight, fly out to the Pacific and land in California I think don't just know. Makes good experience for the navigators etc. Dad your letter written the 13th today also had two waiting for me when I got back. written July 30-31. I had letters from [name?], Arlene card from Aunt Cara, Uncle Ralph & Miriam so I had lost of reading.
