Golly you must have had quite a rainstorm from the clippings you sent hope it didnt wash the fields or knock down the corn. My gosh if water was running over the floor of the mill at Eldorado I should think the whole town would be underwater. They certainly need rain out here if it wasnt for the irrigating they do. Im sure the Idaho potatoes would be baked ones. Some day I may take a bus ride up to Idaho Falls as they say there is excellent farming country up there. Weve had luck here the last couple of days. One ship in another squadron here damaged its landing gear in attempting to land and went up again. The men bailed out in their parachutes and the pilot and co. pilot brought the ship in on one wheel made a beautiful landing, scarcely hurt the ship and the men not at all. About 5:30 one of our ships came in for a three engine landing overshot the field and attempted to go up again but raised his flaps too quickly and lost control of the ship and it crashed and burned, six men were saved but injured some. Sure dont like airplanes. Love Johnny
