Barracks is quite deserted tonight everyone is at the P.X. Theatre, town or some place. Our radio is going full blast of Jimmy Durante; he's not so funny but someone seems to like him. I meant to tell you about your [illegible] stamp but I forgot it. It came loose coming back from Fayette that afternoon so I stuck it in the glove compartment. Harry & Dickie worried about it quite a while and watched it closely so it wasn't in much danger of blowing out. That [illegible] gets into all kind of [illegible] doesn't he? Anything with an engine on it interests him tho Dad always said his equipment would run better if he left it alone. He should get into my line of work if he has to go to the army, don't believe he will tho. Has Bill sold the fed calves yet? [illegible] 2 would like to have some of those steaks. They would really go well. They would probably make steaks of them in the army tho. No news as usual tonight. Love, Johnny
