was very pretty and many of the sights were familiar to me. Ernie Ballard must be hard up for pictures to put in his booth to have mine in it. I knew about A.D's mishap they were kidding him about it while I was home I'll bet his nose did wrinkle up some. Ships are all flying again, we are to do the landing gear modification as soon as possible but will fly them until we can get the job done. There is a shortage of jacks which makes the job much slower. How was the livestock showing at the fair? as many as usual or was that cut down too. Expect the automobile building looked kind of bare with no new models didnt it Just completed a fence between our barracks and the hangars, makes me sore its absolutely useless and uncalled for. They used ten foot 4 x 4's for posts and eight strands of barb wire. When you cant buy that kind of material outside it makes me [bail?] to see it just thrown away. There must be two miles of it at least. Must close and go to bed. Love Johnny
