One of our fellows just returned from [Detroit] where he had received special schooling on engines. It is a month or six weeks course and he got a seven day delay in route which is as good as a furlough if you live some where near the route you must travel, his home is in Gary Ind. so it was fine. There is a rumor that all crew chiefs may get a chance at this course and I hope I can get it. Kind of breaks the monotony and no doubt is worth while. Must send my O.D's to the cleaners very soon they are filthy from dust and we are to start wearing them the 15th of next month. Will have to remane
