So you almost got stuck in the city limits of west Union. I'd send a letter to the major concerning the condition of [Dearborn?] [struck?]. Don't blame you for not caring to drive out to see my calves in rainy weather. That road is a bad one. I'll bet [Dickey?] got a kick out of the souveniers his dad brought him. Wonder if he will carry his Fiji Island club as faithfully as he does his hunting knife. Havent written Bob yet but will try it tonight. I dont just want to sell the farm but I expect it would be good business if I could get $125 per acre. I expect a few years from now the money would go a lot farther. Its whatever Pap things about it, dont think there is much danger of finding a buyer right away anyhow. Think I would sell if he has a buyer. Keep your eye on that chunk of Charly Pitts but if land is going to high dont suppose i could get it anyhow. Glad Wayne Granger got home for a few days. Yes I have another plan, a pretty good one I think. Love, Johnny
