Dear Dad, mom, and Grandma: Am writing this in the middle of the night between [illegible] and in the Tech Supply Storeroom. Have to work tonight as one of my night men was on K.P. today. It's almost time for midnight thaw and after that the night really gets long and cold. May go in before long as I have to work tomorrow. Just completed a hundred [illegible] inspection this morning about 2 a.m. so I'm kind of sleepy. Got your letter today with the [Peagins?] in it also. One from [Pedi?] [Jensen?]. Hope it warms up and doesnt give you the freeze you expect I don't want that corn crop ruined. Washed some coveralls and in carbon tetrachloride wash to salvage them and they have to be clean. Turned in a pair of sleeves for repair today too. I cant keep my eyes open any longer so will close but will try again tomorrow. Love Johnny.
