frost so I guess every year they tell the same story. You folks must have been having rather gloomy weather with all the rain and cold reported. I'll bet Vivian felt foolish when she carried the hymn book out for her pocket book. Property must be some in West Union noticed a couple of transactions. Don't blame you for not wanting to sell the house next door. Carrs would be nice neighbors if you were sure they'd stay. You got quite a lot of good out of the old grape vine again this year didn't you. A few years ago it seemed to be dying, like the plum tree I guess. There seem to be quite a few smarty colds around camp two but so far I've escaped. I had an accident here this morning, some gunmen left a live shell in a 50 calibre machine gun, the armament [hays?] were cleaning it and it discharged and went into another building hitting one man thru the calf of the leg and another in the hip injuring both grunts badly. No one I knew was involved. Love Johnny
