Sept. 20, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad, Mom & Grandma: Expect there will be a few grease smudges and this will run up hill and down. Im writing out on the line as I am working tonight. My night man who was work this shift is going over to the east and mark on our planes which are flying overwater missions. Yesterday I had to put in a twenty hour day as I didn't know this was going to happen. Got to bed about nine this morning and back on at 5:30, I cant take it either, sure get sleepy. Got your letter today saying Bill was filling silo. Hope that little piece of corn does the job, think it will and more besides from the way it looked when I was home. If Bill wants to rent the pasture again it is okay with me. How are they coming with the wiring and how many buildings did they wire? So old Walts sauer kraut blew up I'll bet that made a mess, tell him
