Im very happy you got to see Brad I would have given a lot to have seen him. Bet he can tell lots of interesting things about his travels and the places he has been. He makes a fine looking officer I know the navy has very nice looking uniforms too. That telegram you spoke off sounds just like Betty, wasnt that goofy. The [Findes?] are getting to be quite grand parents, I should feel quite grand if they named the kid [caming?]. [illegible] but I'd bet money it will be a girl. Hope the kids can find a suitable place to live in Dallas, most soldier towns are so crowded tho it is almost an impossibility. Wish I might get close enough so I could see the kids but as yet there are no prospects of leaving here. Buck is taking quite a move, wonder if it will be across for him soon. At least the army furnished him some new teeth huh, hope they don't keep me long enough so I have to have them. Be sure and say hello to Springer for me, hope he got a long furlough, ours have been lengthened to 15 days now (no travel time) This may be changed however before I am eligible for another. Brad never did care much for Winnie Mae Carpenter (afraid I dont blame him) she is no doubt a capable girl but so darn affected and smart. I know her parents think she is a genius but there are two schools of thought on that subject. Think I'd better close for tonight and go to bed. Love Johnny
