and Bob and me. Ill bet [Schara?] is rushed with shoe repair shoe rationing and everything makes folks have to fix shoes they wouldnt have formerly. Expect there is more walking being done now than before too. You should see the piles of shoes which go to be repaired from our personnell supply, a bunch of men wear out a lot of shoes. Im sure you dont need to feel guilty about using a little gas for pleasure riding. There is plenty of gas in the country and on an A card you're surely not getting too much. Use all you can get now because the car will sit all winter idle and as long as you get some pleasure out of it dont deny yourselves any more than you can help. I see lots of these people who work in the subdepot hanger here who have C cards do lots of unnecessary running around. Tell Ole he will be up with Chris Peterson (real estate) when it comes to [illegible] houses and real estate, sounds like they got a very good buy on their new house. Suppose if all the boys get married tho they will each need a house. Must close & write to Bob, have meant to so many times but expected to here from him first. Love Johnny.
