So you had a few snowflakes in the air already, didnt come near as early or in such quantity as last year at that did it? Im afraid [wire?] in for some unfavorable weather and rather believe will move when flying conditions get too bad. Some say we will remain here all winter but I dunno. Betty must have had a mess when she arrived at her new home. Hope Slap isnt seriously ill that would be a tough deal, the rest of the things could be ironed out with a little time and elbow grease. Expect tho Xante made it sound plenty bad. Wonder if Sister Springer goes thru here when he returns to [Farragut?] or is his training completed there. It is nice he gets to see Craig Whitney occasionally in the Army or Navy you soon get juggled around and separated tho. Most all the fellows I left Sheppard Field with have gone. I think there are five of us who went thru school together left here. Has [Whithorn?] said anymore about painting the buildings out on the farm? Getting kind of late in the season but if the weather is favorable guess its all right Dont expect the lime situation has improved much either, has Bill plowed those [illegible] yet where the lime wants to
