this evening mail. Showed the clipping about Graham - Baker buying the new horse to my friend Spencer Greenlee and we had quite a visit about horses before I got back to finish this. He could tell me the pedigree on the horse for generations back. Doesnt seem as this Henry Petersons boy is old enough to get married, he got a nice looking girl. Its raining again tonight and I guess it will all night. Practiced football in the mud tonight and it was sure cold, snow in spats and the surrounding hills white as can be. The construction company . enlarging the ramp had to shut down because of the weather, dont know when they can start up again. Played a game of cribbage this evening too, the first Ive played for several years. I remember as a kid we used to play it at home and Dad always beat, he could find so many ways to make 15 - 2 - etc. Must stop & build up a couple of fires and go to bed. Would like to have one of these stoves when the war is over, they are like those "Warm Morning" burners where you can put in a lot of coal and it just gradually burns down. The coal we have now is poor, western coal I guess, burns dirty with a lot of ash & [linkers?] Love Johnny
