ARMY AIR BASE POCATELLO, IDAHO Oct. 27, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad, Mom & Grandma: Today I was fooling around over in the ordinance department and got to talking with a kid named Wendell Miller whom Ive known for quite a while. Somehow I said I was from Iowa and West Union. He said he was born there in the community hospital and Doc Carr was the doctor. He is a nephew of Clarence Schari's at Elgin, his mother was Evelyn Schari and his father George Miller from Clermont. They have been gone from there for several years tho, but perhaps dad might remember them. he ran the power plant at Clermont until the Millers sold it to the Central States. Its funny how you run on to people like that isnt it. Its raining again tonight and seems to be turning colder, perhaps it will snow again but I dont just believe so. Was quite pleasant for a couple of days. Just returned from the show it was a very silly one but passed the evening "Flesh & Fantasy" lot of silly stuff about dreams coming true etc. Very unusual. Chas, Bayer, Barb, [illegible]
