the 4th will be much this year they need all the powder they have to shoot [Fritizes?] I see by to-nights paper that U.S. troops landed in France I suppose it was some of the kids from Wo. V. Tell Eva a bar of candy wouldent go bad, of course I am not much for sweets but I could eat any thing you send. Ha. Ha. Well dear mother I am going to wright Mag Ryan a letter so will Say good bye with lots + lots of love and kisses from your good looking Son Francis
