enlisted, and last night his wife left him and got on the same st. car I did she comenced to cry I sat down beside her and talked to her. She said he told me it wasent dangress and I told her that she ought to be glad hes in it, instead of feeling so bad, that is right to becaus all were going for is to railroad, and at that we may never get out of this country, Im glad my number isent in the hat, I would rather take chances here than be drawing to go to the trenches
