of wisdom ever accessable. I want to be indeed a christian mother & set an example that my children may truly call me blessed. I wish you could see Maudie not three years old yet draw her little chair by my side & sit so quietly until after prayers. As young as she is even now it has an influence on her. This morning when she awoke she said she dreamed Papa came home. So often she guts your picture & hugs & kisses it & says "our darling Papa". O You do not know how you are loved at home & how we long for the joyful news that the war is over, & I believe it will be only a little while. The Rebels know that their cause is hopeless & they must submit, to our just government, And I would not be surprised at any time to hear the President & his Cabinet had absconded & left the Confederate States to take care of themselves. May the joyful time hasten on. You said "I must not work myself into such a frenzy" O Weaver I take it all
