(Vertically, at head of page:-) Cole is mustered out of servace. Willson of Mass. investigated the matter & several thousand men were unlawfully drawing pay. She sends her love to you. Bloomfield Iowa May 20/62. My Own Dear Husband; We are all well & my lessons done & I hasten to the ever great pleasure of writing to my loved husband. Last night I dreamed of being with you & we were so happy, then it seemed I was reading a letter from you & I awoke & could remember what was in it, but this morning it is all gone. When Weaver will it be a blessed reality, when we shall every day enjoy the pleasure of each others society? Almost one year gone since you left here for Keokuk. How little I thought you would be gone so long & yet the end has not yet come. But I think it is very plainly discernible, Since the Army began its battles it has made rapid strides toward an entire & speedy victory. May the God of battles
