4 O how proud I am of you, And as soon as you come back I want you to select a location where you will be appreciated & there we will make our home & train our children, & live useful religious lives. I know I never saw such beauties in the life of a pious family as I do now, & in picturing the future that is the first thought. I want a religious intellectual class of society to purify & enlighten, to elevate, & enjoy through this life. Here you know we do not have it, & more than probable never will. Our acquaintances are all too nearly on a level with ourselves, & of course, if we cannot raise them we will sink to a level with them. I want to improve & I know that is the watchword of your life. O cant we live happily when once more settled in our own quiet home, daily performing the duties which it brings, with joyful happy hearts, & thankful ones they will be too,
