a fuss, she is at Keokuk. Well Weaver I am now looking any moment for the mail. I get so anxious until I hear, And evry time I feel that you are dearer to me than ever. Yes Weaver, their bliss would never compare with ours when once again permitted to meet. Surely never were two souls more perfectly united than ours, & then with all my tender love for you I am so proud of you, & of being your wife. An intellectual, christian man was always my ideal, & also a self made man, & then connected with those a true devoted love that weded life but increased its tenderness & then I imagined I would be happy, And indeed & in truth beyond all my anticipations of the happiness of married life has my experience surpassed it. Yes safely can I say, No woman on earth is so supremely blessed as I am. O I will ever praise God for his Providential care which has ever been over me. Together will we sing praises to His holy name. O you are I know the best husband living. Bless you bless you, my own dear Weaver. Maudie & Jimmie are well, & so am I & our friends all. Now before I close let me kiss you one of our old sweet kisses. Do you remember how evry where we used to kiss. I hope the battle is over & you are safe, & all our friends, may our Heavenly father bless & protect you & speedily crush this war & let you come home. it is late so "By By" Your own true wife Clara V.
