June 10 1918 Dear Mother, I received 12 letters yesterday, we are getting our mail sooner since they quit sending packages. That is sure some fancy stationary you wrote your last letters on. No there is no danger of me dividing my affections with any of the Mademoisells over on this side. How did Dad do with the hail insurance after the big hail storm, it was sure a good add for him. Axel just went to the barracks to go to bed, he said he was feeling bluer to night than any time since he's been in the army. At times you just cant help but feel that way but its useless to feek that way nevertheless. I received a letter from Rayce Briggs from the way his letter reads, I would judge he was in Southern France
