June 20 1918 Dear Mother, It has been two weeks since I have heard from you, but hope you are all o.k. This weather here is just the kind I have heard you wish for. During the day it gets quite warm, and seems as tho the sun is nearer than it is over there, it seems to burn. But at night, five blankets is not to much to keep warm. John Nelson sleeps next to me, he put one of his blankets in his blue bag thinking Summer was here, last night he got up, and put his over coat over him. All blue bags were gathered to day, and sent to head quarters. Well what do you think of the Italians now. Pretty good 4000 prisoners the first shot.
