Got two new pairs of coveralls and a flight jacket back from salvage today must wash up my remaining pair and salvage them as they are almost in rags. Have some sox to go also. Arlene wrote me another nice letter which I got today, she said not many knew about their wedding as yet but that they would announce it soon. We have started to get our new planes in that we are to take across with us. They are flown for awhile tho to make sure all the bugs are out of them, very often a new ship needs [illegible] adjustments etc. before it flys well. My ship was test happed yesterday and tested out fine after putting on the new tail assembly. The pilot really put her thru the paces and it checked perfectly in every way. That was a load off my mind. Expect you've heard of our losing a plane lure last night. Was in our squadron but not mine. Dont know what the trouble was, should have been our best ship. Love Johnny
