January 16, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad & Mom: It's a little warmer here today but still not just summerish. Its one of those days when the air is filled with a kind of fog and frost forms in feathers all over the light wires etc. I'm back on a carpenter detail for ten days, we are crating up our stuff and it looks like quite a job. Maybe wont be so tough as I think however. This morning I'm having a snap as we don't have lumber nor tools to work with so I'm making the most of a little time to write a bit. Got the information you sent okay and guess I can remember it I made it out all right. Glad you got to see and entertain the [Synders?] Would like to see Dave and take a horseback ride with him. Can't understand anyone getting married the way Allen Ballard did, sounds silly to me. You've got me curious about that portion of my abstract. Maybe Elsie found
