January 27, 1944 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad & Mom: Another fine winter day about 20 above and thawed a little on the south sides of the buildings. Worked some more on the same job I've been doing the past two weeks. Think after I get situated again there will be a lot more carpenter work I'll get [rufed?] in on. Worked last night until midnite and am going back tonight for awhile. I had a hard time getting up this morning, usually I'm the first one up in the barracks but not this day. Only have another day of it and then we can slow down, thank heavens for that. [Baby Snooks?] just came on the radio so I am having a hard time getting anything written. Hear a little now and then which disturbs my train of thought. Have to cut this short as usual
